Gale W. Maiden, PLS (1947-2020), founder of Arc Surveyors, began his career in land surveying in 1967. Under Mr. Maiden’s leadership Arc Surveyors established a track record of consistently delivering projects within budget and ahead of schedule, utilizing many years of experience in construction, commercial and residential projects.

C. Neil Shepherd, PLS is the principal of the firm. He has 25 years experience in his career which has focused on land development and construction projects. Mr. Shepherd received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a minor in Physics. Mr. Shepherd is a licensed professional land surveyor (PLS) and a FEMA Certified Floodplain Surveyor (CFS). Mr. Shepherd has served on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors (NCSS) and is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
